JYA Housing (returning in the Spring)

Juniors abroad in the Fall semester are notified, typically in November, via email that applications for campus housing for the spring will be online in December at http://residentiallife.vassar.edu/onlineforms.

Once the deadline comes, in January, Residential Life assesses the number of vacancies in houses versus the demand. If there is more demand by returners to a particular house than actual vacancies, then we randomly choose those who may return to their house. Those unable to be placed in their first choice get their 2nd or 3rd preference. The vast majority of juniors returning in the spring are placed in their first choice, although placement is ultimately decided by what spaces are available that spring and may not match demand.
