Residence Halls

About 98% of Vassar’s students live on campus. All new students are assigned a room with one or more roommates in one of the eight coed or one single-sex residence halls. The all-women’s hall is Strong House. The co-ed halls are Cushing House, Davison House, Jewett House, Josselyn House, Lathrop House, Main House, Noyes House, and Raymond House. These residence halls house between 170 and 350 students. Each house is distinctive in nature, from its physical characteristics and history to the personality of the residents and the coeducational atmosphere they choose to create within the house. Housing is guaranteed for all full-time students; however, part-time students may not live on campus.
